A dream SoCal Adventure

A few months ago when I first got accepted into the Peace Corps my parents asked me what I wanted to do before leaving. Naturally I said go to Disneyland because it's the magical and my favorite place. I also wanted to go to Universal Studios so I could go to Harry Potter World and experience the magic their. So we began planning our trip. Tuesday and Wednesday Disneyland and Thursday Universal.

My parents drove down before me because I needed to work on Monday. I was able to snag a cheap ticket to John Wayne Airport with Southwest and got to SoCal late Monday night. I love flying so I will choose to fly over drive absolutely any day.

On Tuesday we woke up early and got to Disneyland when it opened, we had a character breakfast Ariel's Grotto which was magical because I was able to meet all my favorite princesses. After that we spent the entire day in Disney having the time of our lives. We got to go to Club 33 eat the best food, drink, and laugh, so much laughter. Tuesday was seriously the most perfect day, and one of the best days I've ever had at Disneyland.

On Wednesday we got to the park the second it opened went to Disney and rode all the rides we wanted to ride before heading to California adventure. We met characters and rode all the things that we wanted. I seriously had the best day again. We got to experience Tower of Terror before it is no longer Tower of Terror. We rode it four times because come on you have to. Three of which were in the pitch black not knowing when you were gonna drop. Honestly the best adrenaline rush ever. I fall more and more in love with Disneyland every time I go there. And this trip was no different.

On Thursday, I got to experience the magic of Harry Potter World. Everything about it made me feel like I was in the book experiencing what each student experiences as they go to Hogwarts for the very first time. I of course bought a wound, and it was truly magical and I'm so glad that I got to see Harry Potter World before heading to Uganda for two years.

On Friday, we rested and I got to see one of my favorite humans in the entire world. It was so good to talk to her, and hang out one last time before leaving. Not being able to communicate like normal is going to be hard. So exploring Downtown Disney with her and my dad was my favorite.

And on Saturday I spent the day with my niece and nephew. We went to Audrey's soccer game and than took the kids bowling. Then we went to dinner and played board games with my brother, my sister-in-love, and her dad and my dad. It was seriously such a fun night. I'm going to miss my family so much.

It's really hitting me that I am leaving for two years. I have the hardest time with goodbyes, especially when I don't know how often I can communicate with people. But for now I look back on my Disney trip dreaming about when I get to go back and focusing on the fun we had last week. Thank you for coming on this journey with me.

Goodbye for now,
XOXO Chantelle
